SWIPE by TA Moore: ER doctor Tag just wants a distraction, but the man he swipes right on isn’t easy to forget. As Tag is drawn into Bass’s criminal underworld, he wonders if the cure for his broken heart is worse than the disease. https://amzn.to/3hzPtLm
FALL THROUGH SPRING by Amy Lane: Dane and Clay know they’re bad at relationships, but they’re outstanding together… as friends. Can forbidden desserts and a little bit of hope help them turn that friendship into a romance neither dared hope for? https://amzn.to/3weMv2R
What’s Up?
The ribs have finallllllllly stopped hurting! That’s major for me! Pretty much the whole last week has revolved around trying to sneeze/cough/laugh.
ALSO… Shiftless by TA Moore is up for pre-order now! On Amazon, and other retailers soon!
You guys have LITERALLY no idea how excited I am to see this soon! I adored Leverage. Well, I adored Elliot, Hardison, and Parker, but close enough!
Chapter of the Week
This is the last chapter of the Dead Man’s Handle audiobook, narrated by the wonderful Kale Williams. You can listen to the full audiobook OR read the short story on my website.
I hope you’ve enjoyed it!
And come back next week! I’ve a few more things up my sleeve!
This is smart programming! How much time have we all spent this last year watching re-runs of nice, cozy murder-mysteries? Quincy! Murder She Wrote! Diagnosis: Murder! Vera! … OK, that’s a police show but I swear to god I’ve watched SO MUCH Vera this year. Anyhow, we’re all primed for hijinks crossed with crime, you know?
Recommendation of the Week
Check it out! Make Poe happy. Convince her she needs to take the series to Paris next year!
…What? I’ve not seen anyone in so long, people! Bring my friends to me!
I have no idea why this is so funny. It just is.
Salaaaaaaaad!
I….I have done nothing to deserve this! Nothing!
Must Read of the Week
People ask ‘where do you get your ideas?’ and I don’t mind that! Honestly, I love to talk. You’ve no idea. The thing is that it’s hard to explain it comes from a dozen different weird little snippets. Bits and pieces. Things that didn’t come to anything at the time, but when you stitch them together with a handful of other nuggets from the day…suddenly it’s got legs!
Or…a leg? Maybe some tentacles. Either way, it’s on the move and you aren’t going to be able to kick it back into the hole, ok?
Something like this. I’ve no idea what story I have that would work there, but I’ve tucked the setting away because there’s potential there. Maybe…some guy is out there for a memorable birthday/break-up/something and in his search for treasure finds something CONSIDERABLY more life changing? Like a magic doohickey! Or a corpse! Or a corpse with a magic doohickey!
Finders, Keepers
Crater of Diamonds State Park is the only open-source diamond mine in the country. For a small fee, diggers can pay to play their odds in the dirt where the biggest and most valuable U.S. diamonds—like the million-dollar Esperanza Diamond—were discovered.
Deep in southwest Arkansas is a state park that charges visitors $10 to search for gems that can be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
If you have the good fortune to live long enough, it is a physiological fact that you only turn 40 once, though the ink of that fact can get smudged slightly if you’re an identical triplet, one of three daughters who arrived into the world within two minutes of each other. What is already a milestone birthday becomes even more significant.
I am always impressed by people who can draw.
