What’s Up?
In case it isn’t very clear, I do love me some Christmas! Not that I’m particularly religious (I was very baffled one year to discover that baby Jesus only goes into the manger on Christmas Day, I thought he’d been babynapped), but I enjoy any opportunity to throw a bunch of tinsel and twinkly lights everywhere.
Plus the ham.
So the next couple of days I’m going to cook a load of food, sing along badly to some Christmas songs, and wrap a few last minute pressies. I hope everyone out there is going to have some fun over the next days too!
Oh, Judy Stone won the Holiday Box of Books from Love’s Sweet Arrow that I gave away last week! It just arrived and she’s chuffed with it! So her Christmas reading is sorted out!
Oh, and don’t forget that I have a blog tour coming up after Christmas for Swipe by TA Moore.
Today the charming C.S. Poe, who I tease a lot, dropped by my blog to talk about ‘Love in 24 Frames’, her story in the 2019 Dreamspinner Advent Calendar. Drop by and see what she has to say!
Or go and buy it now!

Book Recommendation of the Week
Z. Allora proves that you can have a sweet Christmas story without vanilla, you just have to swap in some spice.
The holiday season is lonely for construction worker Benjamin Morgan, a big muscular guy who just wants to submit, obey, and serve. But the men he’s attracted to usually don’t have a dominant bone in their bodies. He’s done seeking his BDSM dreams with someone who isn’t interested in putting him in his rightful place—on his knees at their feet.
When a friend sets up a meeting with Foster Ridgeway at the BDSM club, Entwined, Benjamin has his doubts. Of course he is attracted to bookish Foster, who works for the same construction company, but how will someone so small and delicate-looking master Benjamin? But when Foster--the tiny temple of dominance wielding a crop—heads toward Benjamin, he might get what he’s always wanted, just in time for Solstice.
Rudolph has focused on speed and sleekness this year instead of bulking up for his big run.

The following Christmas, Bobby and Paolo aren’t feeling the holiday spirit. They have a nice apartment, designer clothes, entertaining and supportive friends and family, but little time for each other. Must Read of the Week
This one is for my friend Penny who loves a train! I think I’d travel by train more if they looked like these, and maybe had the occasional murder on board that I could help solve.

It’s hard to grasp now how much the introduction of railroads and railway services during the late 18th century and early 19th century forever changed the way we commute, travel, and transport our stock and goods.
It was a grand leap of faith into a new future, similarly to how the picture changed decades later with the introduction of commercial flights. In both cases, the world went faster, stronger, better.
