What’s Up
I have insomnia, and not the cool kind of insomnia where you roam the house looking mildly disheveled and drinking loads of coffee while you accomplish *stuff*. No, this is the sort of insomnia where you wake up after two hours sleep, feel wretchedly tired, and lie sweatily in your bed because you’re sure that at any minute you’ll DEFINITELY go back to sleep.
It’s put Jax all out of his way of going!
Work proceeds on my WIP that I’m not meant to be working. It’s going OK, I think. Once I finish I’ll give you all a head’s up :D
Oh and for tomorrow!
Pupdate of the Week
So on Sunday the #writingstaffie became a sea-faring hound down at Ballyhome Beach! He had an awesome time and we’re booked to go again at Shaw’s Bridge. Look at him! He was so confident!
Look at this good metal boy!
Shout-out of the Week
I was SO tempted to just hop in the car and go see if I could find him in Kerry. Jax would love a salty brother!
Must Read of the Week
There are people who claim that dinosaurs wouldn’t be scary if Jurassic Park had made them feathery and possibly plump. These people have clearly never met a Kea. Or a goose. Bloody terrifying geese.
On the Habits of the Kea, the Sheep-Eating Parrot of New Zealand
THE kea, the mountain parrot of New Zealand (Nestor notabilis), has earned considerable notoriety from its remarkable habit of attacking living sheep. It is commonly stated that the natural food of this bird consists of insects, fruit, and berries; and that it has developed a taste for a carnivorous diet only luring the last thirty years.
Good for her!
…I mean, I’d say this was about those 5000 covid cases from Cornwall. It wasn’t too much of a surprise though!
So sorry to hear about your insomnia. I can relate. I haven't slept for more than two hours without waking up in sweat for years. If I'm lucky I get 4 hours a night tops and wake up at least 3 times. I hope it will pass.
Jax is an absolute star!
I hope you'll catch some sleep tonight. Xx
