What’s Up?
Hello to new subscribers from the weekend’s Fab Follow event! I hope you all had a good time! To start as we mean to go on…
OK, as we SOMETIMES mean to go on! And for the record the Twitter message is still mostly accurate, although a bit than it was a couple of weeks ago! Look at this Prince Valiant looking hair cut. (Things happened.)
Other news. I’m mostly just trying to get my nose down into the writing this week! It is going OK, even if I’ve gone rogue off my OWN writing schedule and am writing an unauthorised book instead of what I am meant to be tapping away on.
I have probably left it too late to foster a ‘brand image’ of myself as a high-strung artiste, but it was just not working. My beta readers said it was ok, but I just couldn’t find that sweet spot where you stop writing for the day and know where to start tomorrow? So I’ve put it in mothballs for a couple of months and am working on a new series!
Like I said, it’s going well! In a couple of weeks, when I have a better idea of publication dates, I’ll share the cover with you guys and see what you think!
Just in case I sound too stressed, I did take half the bank holiday and packed a picnic to go on an outing with Jax! (He had a hard boiled egg for his noms). We went to Kearney and took a wee dander along the coast. Beautiful walk, nerve-wracking drive!
Pupdate of the Week
Look! Look at the #writingstaffie on his throne! He’s got his last agility class this week and he’s definitely going to miss it! But he’s got lots of walks planned and we’re going Kayaking at Shaw’s Bridge next Sunday (I think, don’t hold me to that).
Listen of the Week
Join us next week for the first installment in the Tailor Made audio short, written by TA Moore and narrated by Garrett Kiesel.
‘Tailor Made’ by TA Moore is a Prodigium short story and a prequel to Cash in Hand. Find out more about the hidden world of ghouls, ghosties, and long-leggedly beasties — although Grandmother thinks that’s just rude!
Or you can read it now!

Oh wow! I want to watch this so much, I love Greg Davies and I love Crime Scene Clean Up so…
Wow. I haven’t been so excited for something since Year of the Rabbit.
Book of the Week
I mean, you guys KNOW how I feel about Enemies to Lovers, right? :D
I am very tempted by a print of these! But I have, like, three things I need to frame and hang already! On the OTHER HAND I would make an awesome octopus-woman. One tentacle for a cup of coffee, one for a lollipop, one to pet the dog…
Must Read of the Week
Sometimes I grab a link for an article when I’ve no idea WHY I am intrigued. I just know there’s SOMETHING there that I could use one day. I think it’s something to do with…the construction of community? The echo chamber effect of like-minded groups and how they can influence infrastructure?
Soooooomething.
When The New Yorker famously depicted the “View of the World From 9th Avenue” on its cover nearly a half century ago, New Jersey was just a brown, barren strip of land beyond the Hudson. But Maria Russo, a former New York Times editor who now works in book publishing, had a different perspective from the paper’s cafeteria windows. “This whole part of New Jersey is flat—you know, Meadowlands—and then you see a sudden jutting up of the Watchung Mountains. And that’s Montclair,” she recalled. In a way, said Russo, “working at the Times and living in Montclair feels like a coherent life.”
These are so awesome! I have finally got my setup worked out so every thing is easy, so I’m not changing anything. Still, look how cool all this is.
This looks crazy! My friend Penn would up and move if there was one of these near her. She’d rather live near the Angel of the North.
