What’s Up?
My friends have gone home. This is a sad state of affairs, but hopefully they’ll get back over sometime this year! We already have many plans for next year. Fingers crossed and masks on, and all.
Other news!
Jax, the famed Writing Staffie, went to his first agility class last Saturday! He was a natural and described as ‘very confident’. He will jump over things, go through things, clamber up and down things, and sit on things to get his portrait taken.
He was very excited and ALSO discovered that there were a lot of discarded treats in the grass. So it was kind of like teaching a hoover that could wag its tail to go through jumps…still! He did so well!
Writing wise. Ugh. I’ve had to rejig my plan for the year because things just weren’t falling into place. So I’m trying my best with something new and I’ll keep you guys updated. I’M enjoying it so far, so that’s a good sign.
Right?
Anyhow, I’ll see how this goes and gets back to everyone. It’s just…the book didn’t gel. I didn’t care about the cees, if they got together or not. I certainly didn’t think of them after I closed Docs down, and that’s unusual. So I’m leaving that to think about what it’s done and hopefully come back to it in October’ish.
Or jump to Digging Up Bones, Book 3 and see if I can beat them into shape?
Pupdate of the Week
Went to Castlewellan for a walk today. Went around the lake and up the big house. UTTERLY KNACKERED! Jax would have gone on without me, but sadly his lead only extends so far!
And look at him here, guarding his picnic table from absolutely no-one and nothing :D

Must Read of the Week
This is a fascinating story all the way through and the Boy Scout involved grew up into just the sort of man you’d expect from the story. There’s a real E.E Doc Smith vibe to him.
This is STUNNING! It’s just beautiful.
I love this. Look at them! The Snoots of Suspicion.
