What’s Up
Received what is possibly the funniest insult EVER this week- and I’ve been insulted by the best! Someone called me an idiot on the socials and then added ‘but what would you expect from a purple hair?’. I think it tickles me because, you know, shades of dystopian YA fantasy castes or what?
Oh, and I color bombed my hair purple again. I have probably wrecked the whole ‘grow it out to a natural shade’ plan, but I got bored!

The Vampire and the Tattooist
Gavin Stone is a mess after having killed an evil witch to save his wolf shifter friend, Ian. He desperately wants comfort from his as-yet unclaimed mate, Hunter Marsden, but Hunter has no idea Gavin is a vampire.
Hunter Marsden is a tattooist and head over heels in love with Gavin. But he’s concerned. Whenever he goes out with Gavin, it seems someone is always following them. When a strange letter appears on his kitchen worktop threatening his life, Hunter has no idea what to do.
Pulled into a world he never knew existed; will Hunter survive?
With the help of Gavin’s family of vampires, the local witches' coven, and the local wolf pack, can they keep both Gavin and Hunter safe while uncovering more of the secret underground network?
Reader’s Corner
Reader’s Corner
Today we are delighted to welcome Sarah Drew, for a quick chat about the MM Romance genre and what she’s looking for in books! Thanks, Sarah!! xoxo
What book introduced you to the MM romance genre?
The Magpie Lord by K.J. Charles. Game-changer. Funny, romantic and not a word wasted. (She is not wrong! I read this for the first time on the ferry from Scotland to NI and it thoroughly distracted me from being seasick!)
What book/author do you think should be on more people's TBR pile?
Other than T.A. Moore? R. Cooper, the Mistress of Unrequited Pining: "Play it again, Charlie" is a DIK for me. Ada Maria Soto ("His Quiet Agent") and Amy Rae Durreson (Yes! I absolutely loved Reawakening!) also deserve to be much better known. HR (m/f) - Megan Bryce's "To Tempt the Saint" is the book I'd love to have written, or anything by Sarah Woodhouse (criminally neglected). CR (m/f) - generally problematic territory, but Jennifer Crusie almost always gets it right: "Faking It" is a masterclass in getting m/f relations right.
Is there a Facebook Group or Tiktok that would you recommend to newcomers to the genre?
K.J. Charles Chat is a decent starting point for m/m readers.
We all know you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but what’s a cover you love anyhow?
I'm not sure I've EVER seen anything as erotic as the Japanese cover to KJ Charles's "A Case of Possession". (It’s the gloves. The gloves LAID ME OUT in that series.)
What’s Your Insta-buy Trope Potion?
Cinderella/neglected child, misunderstood under-dog, quiet introvert being discovered.
And don’t say I never give you anything!
