What’s Up?
I promise there's no cliffhangers! It is a bit more m/m urban fantasy than m/m paranormal romance though. :)
My name is Jonah Carrow, and it’s been 300 days since I laid a hex.
OK, Jonah Carrow isn’t actually an alcoholic. But there’s no support group of lapsed hex-slingers in Jerusalem, so he’s got to make do. He goes for the bad coffee and the reminder that he just has to take normal one day at a time.
Unfortunately, his past isn’t willing to go down without a fight.
A chance encounter with a desperate Deborah Seddon, and a warning that ‘they’re watching’, pulls Jonah back into the world he’d tried to leave behind. Now he has to navigate ghosts, curses, and the hottest bad idea warlock he’s ever met…all without a single hex to his name.
But nobody ever said normal was easy. Not to Jonah anyhow.
I have also signed a contract with Michael Fell to do the audiobook for Split Shift and Shiftless. I should have more details about schedules and all soonish!

Shout Out of the Week
I mean, who DOESN’T love a dragon?
Oh, and don’t forget Snitchy Poe! Madison Square Murders is live today! There’s a grumpy one, a sunshine one, and they both poke into murders so we can take it there’s a dead one too :D
I will never look this effortlessly cool in an author photo! (The best I’ve ever managed is ‘slightly less shifty than usual.’)
Must Read of the Week
This is a fascinating look at small town politics and how, in many ways, technology has outpaced society’s capacity to interact with it. Maybe? Did you know that when William Rufus—William II of England—died there were conspiracy theories around his death? They ranged from the just suspicious to q-anon flavor extremes. Without the internet or Artificial Intelligences. There I’d guess the lack of a centralized place to locate information inflamed the rumors, as opposed to our current situation of too much information.
(Note: it’s a brilliant story and well written but full of flickery gifs that made my head hurt.)
The World Thought This Cheer Mom Created a Deepfake to Harass Her Daughter’s Rival—but the Real Story Is Way More Confusing (and Bizarre)
How a small-town scandal turned into an artificial intelligence tech nightmare.
Raffaela was eventually arrested on six counts of misdemeanor harassment and cyber harassment of a child. But that’s not what spun the case into an international scandal. In the criminal complaint, Hilltown Township police officer Matthew Reiss declared that the video of Madi vaping had the hallmarks of a “deepfake,” “where a still image can be mapped onto an existing video and alter the appearance of the person in the video to show the likeness of the victim’s image instead.” In his telling, he’d arrested a middle-age suburban mom for wielding the power of advanced AI technology against her daughter’s competition, creating a fake video so uncannily convincing that it could have gotten Madi kicked off the team.
This is just neat!
I am DEFINITELY here for this!
I am also here for this. I watched Terra Nova too AND Primeval - so me and weird dino shows have a history.
