What’s Up
Behold! The new cover for SWIPE!
Does this cover LOOK simple? Yes. Was it simple? NO! It takes a lot of work to look that casually cool as it turns out! Mostly it was the font. It’s almost ALWAYS the font.
But look! Behold the paperback wrap! Is it not the prettiest thing? Still very simple, but it just looks so nice!! Well, says me!
Anyhow, going to be away for a bit next week. I’ll probably do a montage of pups for you guys :D but no sorting out uploads and all that!

Reader’s Corner
Today we are delighted to welcome everyone’s favorite Pineapple Chaos Gremlin, Natana Holbrook, for a quick chat about the MM Romance genre and what she’s looking for in books! Also! Welcome to our first ever Readers Corner!
What book introduced you to the MM romance genre?
Borrowing Blue by Lucy Lennox was my first mm read. I have since moved into reading much darker stuff more often but light and fluffy is still good when I’m in the mood.
What book/author do you think should be on more people's TBR pile?
I am a sucker for monster romance, Amanda Meuwissen’s The Tea House novella is horror, mysterious, and heartwarming.
Is there a Facebook Group or Tiktok that would you recommend to newcomers to the genre?
MM Book Rec group on Facebook is where I’ve found some of the best recommendations. Toshsbookcorner on Instagram also always keeps up with the newest books and bookish items on MM.
We all know you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but what’s a cover you love anyhow?
A book I bought purely because I loved the cover, Rookie Mistake by Anna Zabo & LA Witt.
What Tropes are Instabuys for you?
Enemies to Lovers, grumpy sunshine and new to this world is instant buy trope potion.
(For the record, stealing ‘trope potion’ for the next Reader’s Corner!)
And you can find Natana at Creative Pineapple and on Tiktok.
This made me laugh, because What We Do in the Dark is always funny and I love a good lip sync!

Shout-Out of the Week
When passion collides with magic, a pirate finds his heart’s true treasure.
During Captain Efren’s pursuit of his traitorous former first mate, he stumbles upon a captive mage named Niall. While Niall's rare ability will turn the tide against the imperial navy, Efren’s more interested in their instant attraction. Niall leaves him feeling something he hasn't experienced in years: hope.
As if being saved wasn’t enough, the more Niall learns about the pirate captain, the more he wants to join his motley crew. Niall is drawn to Efren’s commanding nature and sarcastic wit and torn when unexpected family obligations demand his attention.
When Niall is captured by the imperial navy, it’s a race against time and tides to save him from certain death. Efren must team up with the only prisoner he's ever taken. The decision could cost him everything, including Niall.
Take No Prisoners is a male/male age gap (45/25) romance between two consenting versatile adults. It has a grumpy pirate mage, a sunshine virgin apprentice who doesn't know he has magic, and plenty of snark and spice to go around before the happily ever after. If you're looking for a series where magic intersects with swashbuckling adventure and swoon-worthy romance, start reading today!
Content Warnings: fantasy pirate violence; mention of SA.
