*ahem* yes, I did mistype the title. It was a long day *facepalm* Fixed now! :D
What’s Up
So it is, once again, that time of the week! Behold the new cover for Cash in Hand by TA Moore!
Well? Is that the biz or what? No! No! It’s alright. I know it is :D
In other news…
I am halfway through the next Babylon Boy novella. It’s going well and, despite my worry, I am enjoying being in Jonah’s not-very-healthy little brain again. Once it’s finished I will hit my schedule and editor with a very padded stick (it’s a game! she likes it really!) and see what falls out to do next.
I also have just finished an Island Confidential novella that I think will be a lot of fun! I had fun writing it and I made my editor snort tea out of her nose at one part.
It’s part of an anthology, though, so news will have to wait on when that is coming out. I will keep you informed though!
The rest of the new covers will be coming soon! But are there any you’d really like to see?
Collared and Prodigal have stayed the same, but the rest of the books are all shiny and new. If you have any specifics you’d like to see next, let me know!
Pupdate of the Week
So, you might THINK it’s a good idea to book both dogs in to get vaccinated at the same time? In the same appointment? It is not. Yes, it saves a trip. No, it is not convenient.
Jax? He is so happy. It is a good Jax day when he gets to see all his vet friends. He’s bouncing off the walls and woo-woo-wooing and giving just everyone kisses. OH and he is ALSO 21.6 kg. That is .1 kg off his target weight, but I am still calling it a win!
Jax isn’t so sure, but his dino is always a comfort!
Dignity, thy name is doggo.
Majestic!
Must Read of the Week
The mommy/family influencer schtick is something that people in the near-future will regard as barely a step above Victorian chimney sweeps. It is genuinely horrifying when you look at them closer. Like, the kids in these influencer families don’t even the minimal protections of child stars. They work their whole childhood and come out of it with nothing but a complete lack of privacy and stalkers.
It’s shocking that we don’t look at it like that NOW.
If you scroll through The Bucket List Family’s videos on social media, here is a smattering of what you’ll find: their then
10-year-old daughter saying goodbye to her great-grandmother’s casket, the family diving with sperm whales in Mauritius, the whole clan embarking on a safari in Madagascar, the youngest son screaming in pain while his dad extracts a parasite from his scalp. It’s all the highs and lows of childhood packaged neatly for mass consumption. The Gee family—which consists of parents Garrett and Jessica and their three kids—has over 5 million followers and subscribers across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook and uploads new content regularly for their expansive, cross-continental fan base.
In 2024, the messy business of family vlogging is at an inflection point: to show your kids online or not? Sure, tens of thousands of parent influencers continue to prominently feature their children on social media in a bid to vie for our gnat-like attention spans (not to mention, those lucrative brand deals). But recently, more people have begun to ask unsettling questions about the murky ethics of the entire endeavor. How do you protect the safety and privacy of these kids when nearly every second of their lives is being broadcast to millions? Can toddlers—or hell, infants—meaningfully consent to being part of this chaotic ecosystem before they can even say the word “internet”? What does it mean to stamp their online footprint in ink? Will they eventually share in the profits being made off their work in this almost entirely unregulated industry?

Man, designing the covers with stock art was hard enough! I’d just have given up and moved to Wales if I had to draw them from scratch. I wish I could draw, but sadly all I can do is admire those who can!
